Vargo brings with him years of experience at the collegiate level of athletics. Most recently as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Newberry College. During his time at Newberry, Vargo implemented programs for men's/women's basketball, baseball, men's lacrosse, wrestling, women's golf, and volleyball. He also was the primary assistant for football. Prior to that, Vargo served as an Intern and Graduate Assistant at Wayne State University. At Wayne State University, Vargo designed and implemented year-round strength and conditioning programs for volleyball, swim and dive, fencing, cheer and dance, and men’s tennis teams. Vargo also designed and implemented in-season programing for baseball, women’s tennis, cross country, and men’s/ women’s golf. Vargo also helped assist strength and conditioning football workouts during all phases of training. Before Wayne State University, Vargo had a stint at Eastern Michigan as a Strength and Conditioning Intern where he assisted strength and conditioning staff during offseason and in-season football team workouts, field/weight room prep, spotting, coaching, and administration. Vargo earned a Master's of Kinesiology in Exercise and Sports Science from Wayne State University in 2018 and holds a Bachelor's of Science in Exercise Science from Adrian College in 2015.
