SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – Jared Roth of the Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University baseball team earned WHAC Player of the Week after hitting .474 over seven games in Florida, the conference office announced on Monday.
Roth was phenomenal over spring break, as he slugged .895 with an on-base percentage of .565 with nine hits and two walks. He went 2-for-2 in game one against Ave Maria (Fla.) University with a homerun, four RBIs, and a double. He hit his second homerun of the trip against Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) University and finished the game with three RBIs.
Roth finished the week with three multi-hit games while averaging 1.3 hits per game. He also averaged just under a run per game as well.
Roth and the Blue Devils are back on the diamond Wednesday, March 20 when they head to University of Toledo (Ohio). First pitch is set for 3:05 p.m.
