INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.—The (No. 2) Lawrence Technological University men's bowling team competed this past weekend in the Columbia 300 Western Shootout. This two day event ran from Oct. 19-Oct. 20. At the end of the tournament, the Blue Devils walked away with a 5th place finish.
Day one of the competition saw each member of the Blue Devils team bowl six individual games. Leading the Blue Devils squad was Jordan Bryant. Bryant ranked 11th overall out of 341 varsity and junior varsity bowlers. His six game total was 1,328, giving him an average of 221.33. Posting the second best score for the Blue Devils was Chase Kaufman. He put up an average of 215.33 for his six games; this put him in 20th place.
Day two of competition consisted of each team bowling 15 Baker games. The Blue Devils knocked down a total of 9,242 pins. Once all teams completed their Baker games and the totals were added up, the Blue Devils finished in 5th place out of 31 varsity teams.
Up next for the Blue Devils will be the WHAC Jamboree #2 Tournament on Saturday, November 9th.
