SOUTH LYON, Mich.- The Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University men's golf team finished fourth at the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Jamboree No. 3, hosted by Madonna (Mich.) University, at the Cattails GC. The Blue Devils carded a 63-over-par 639 (322-317) team score for both days of the tournament. LTU finished 23 shots behind the first place Aquinas (Mich.) College, who carded a 616 (308-308).
Lawrence Tech finished with one golfer on the top 5 as Kaleb Wiesner tied in third place with a 7-over par 151 (77-74). Tanner Schnell followed with a tie for 18th after posting a 163 (79-84). Josh Stein finished tied in 21st with a 164 (81-83), while Victor Quiennec carded a 166 (88-78) for a tie in 23rd. Eddie Sheehan tied in 25th with a 167 (85-82).
The top five was rounded out by Northwestern Ohio with a 629 (323-306), Madonna with a 637 (317-320), and Lourdes (Ohio) University with a 657 (321-336).
UNOH was crowned champion of the WHAC regular season after posting an 1852 team-score in three Jamborees. Aquinas and Lawrence Tech followed with 1860 and 1900, respectively. The WHAC Championship will be played on April 27-28 at Bedford Valley in Augusta, Mich.
The Blue Devils will be back on the course for their last tournament of the season on October 14 at the Tabor College Fall Invitational in Newton, Kan. at Sand Creek Station.
