Following a 1-5 loss to Rochester University, the Lawrence Technological University men's ACHA DI hockey team hosts the Warriors tonight on October 11th at 5:30 p.m at the Farmington Hills Ice Arena.
The Warriors (2-1-0, 1-0-0) dominated most every second of the game, including capitalizations when they were both shorthanded and up on a powerplay. They opened the game up six minute in with a unassisted goal by Trevor Pode, shorthanded. The same thing happened again at the 12 minute mark. To close the quarter, the Warriors scored on a powerplay with only minute to go.
In the second, Pode scored again, this time off a powerplay. Then, the Blue Devils (2-1-0, 2-1-0)scored for the first time and last, shorthanded from the stick of Sean Pilet and an assist of Conner Victory with only two minutes to go in the second period, down 4-1.
To open the third, Rochester then scored once again, another powerplay goal, closing the game 5-1. In net, Spencer Krul had 23 saves and only let in five goals.
Following this game, the Blue Devils start their homecoming escapades with another match against Concordia, on October 18th where the puck is expected to drop at 9:00 p.m.
