Lawrence Tech moves up to No. 8 in latest NAIA Top 10 Poll

Top 10 Poll- Week one

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The NAIA released their latest Top 10 Coaches' Polls rankings of the 2019 season, starting off with week one following the preseason polls that occurred prior to season. Lawrence Technological University moves up from the 9th spot to the 8th spot with their 2-1 record. Their two wins stem from forfeits, while their lone loss comes from a battle to open their season against Hope College where they lost 13-14.

While the next poll release does not occur until March 12th, the men have a heavy hitting schedule with two teams to face between then and now. Their first opponent will be against Reinhardt University (Ky.) on March 3rd, who was ranked 1st in the NAIA, but now holds a 3 spot following a narrow loss to the University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) to open their season.

Following this game, the men will play a team receiving votes, Montreat College (NC.) on March 12th down in Florida to start off their spring break against ranked opponents.

The poll features four WHAC teams including Lawrence Tech, while two others are on the receiving votes list. Madonna (Mich.) leads the teams of the WHAC with a second place vote, while Indiana Tech sits at 4. Siena Heights moved down to 6th while Lourdes (Ohio.) and Aquinas (Mich.) both received nods in this first week following NAIA lacrosse play.
