Nik Kubik Announced as WHAC Defensive Player of the Week for March 9 through 16

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference annouced the Players of the Week, naming Nik Kubik (SO/Chicago, Ill.) from the Lawrence Technological Unviersity men's lacrosse as the Defensive player of the week. Along with Brendan Oles (SR/Warren, Mich.), they swept the honors this week and are among seven other Blue Devil Athletes to recieve a player of the week honor this week alone.

Nik Kubik led the team all over the field in his three games this week. He collected 56 face off wins in the three games from this weekend and totaled 24 ground balls.

Kubik had eight ground balls against the University of the Cumberlands. In the 19-8 upset win against the NO. 5 Seahawks, Kubik gathered a high 16 ground balls. Against the Seahawks, he also won a 96% of the face-offs. Kubik now averages 6.4 ground balls per game and wins 62% of the face offs he takes.
