SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – The Lawrence Technological University men's lacrosse team swept the WHAC weekly awards for both offensive and defensive players of the week. Offensive Player of the Week was awarded to Brendan Oles (SR/Warren, Mich.) for his performance in the three games his team played in this past week. Only days later, the NAIA then annouced that Oles won National Player of the Week for his same performances.
Brendan Oles led the Blue Devils all week on the offensive end of the field, gathering 18 points in three games, including 10 goals and eight assists.
Against Montreat College (N.C.), Oles had four goals and two assists and also grabbed four ground balls, contributing to the 14-9 win to start the week on a high note. In the next game, while it was a loss against the NO. 3 University of the Cumberlands, he had two goals and two assists.
Rounding up the week down in Florida, Oles had eight points from four goals and four assists in the 19-8 upset of the NO. 5 Keiser University, who also was the host of all three of the games.
