  • Blue Devils Battle in WHAC Semifinal but Come Up Short to No. 17 Indiana Tech

    BRIGHTON, Mich.—The Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University men’s soccer team’s (8-11-0) season came to an end on Thursday afternoon in the WHAC tournament semifinal match. After the November snow storm coated the outdoor fields in inches of snow, the Blue Devils and No. 17 Warriors of Indiana Tech. (15-4-1) met indoors at the Legacy Center Sports Complex in Brighton, Mich. In a game that showcased to the talent of two of the WHAC’s top soccer programs, the Warriors edged out the Blue Devils by a score of 3-2.

    SOUTHFIELD, Mich.—The Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University men’s soccer team will be playing for a chance to earn a trip to the WHAC Tournament Championship match for the third straight year. Standing in their way for the shot at a repeat as the WHAC Tournament Champions is an Indiana Tech squad that is looking for a bit of revenge from last year’s conference tournament. The match between the Blue Devils and Warriors is now scheduled for Thursday, November 14th and kickoff is set for 1:00pm EST.
  • Juan Jaramillo Earns Conference Offensive Player of the Week

    SOUTFIELD, Mich.-Junior midfielder Juan Jaramillo, earned himself his first WHAC Offensive Player of the Week honors of the 2019 season this past week. Jaramillo and the Blue Devils were a part of an emotional and dramatic quarterfinal matchup vs. the Saints of Aquinas (Mich.) College in the WHAC Tournament Championship on Saturday, November 9th. The Blue Devils would defeat the Saints by a score of 2-1 to move on to the semifinals.

With a conference record of 6-5, the Blue Devils qualified for the WHAC tournament as the No. 4 seed for the second year in a row. They will host the Saints of Aquinas College who qualified as the No. 5 seed. The quarterfinal match is scheduled to begin at 6:00pm inside Blue Devil Stadium on Saturday, November 9th.

University men’s soccer team is moving on to the semifinals in the 2019 Men’s Soccer WHAC Tournament Championship as they defeat Aquinas (Mich.) College, 2-1, in dramatic fashion. A late second half goal lifted the Blue Devils to a playoff victory on their home turf.

University (7-10, 6-5) lost to No. 22 University of Northwestern Ohio (10-1-6, 8-0-2) by a score of 0-3 on a cold November night at Blue Devil Stadium. The seniors were recognized at the end of the match for all that they have dedicated to the program over the last four to five years.

    SOUTHFIELD, Mich.—The Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University men’s soccer regular season comes to a close on Saturday, Novemeber 2nd at Blue Devils Stadium. The Blue Devils soccer program will be honoring their seniors in what will be their last regular season home game in their career as Blue Devils. Standing in their way of a proper send-off will be the No. 22 team in the country from the University of Northwestern Ohio. The match is set to begin at 7:00pm.

    GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.—The Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University men's soccer team (7-9, 6-4) defeated the Cornerstone (Mich.) University Golden Eagles (2-13-2, 1-8-1) in a Wednesday night WHAC matchup. The Blue Devils used a four goal first half to put away the Golden Eagles. The final score when the clock hit 90:00 was 4-2 in favor of the Blue Devils.

    SOUTHFIELD, Mich.—The Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University men’s soccer team (6-9, 5-4) will be on the road Wednesday, October 30th for a match vs. the Golden Eagles of Cornerstone (Mich.) University (2-12-2, 1-7-1). With only two matches remaining in conference play, the Blue Devils need to leave Grand Rapids, Mich. with a victory vs. a struggling Cornerstone team.

    SOUTHFIELD, Mich.—The Lawrence Technological (Mich.) men’s soccer team (5-9, 4-4) will be traveling to Sylvania, Ohio for a WHAC matchup vs. the Gray Wolves of Lourdes (Ohio) University (5-10, 3-5). With only three WHAC matches left, every match is critical to where the Blue Devils end up come conference tournament time. The match is set to being at 7:00pm on Saturday, October 26th.

    SYLVANIA, Ohio—The Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University men’s soccer team (6-9, 5-4) traveled to Lourdes (Ohio) University for a conference match that was critical in the WHAC standings. Both teams had to battle terrible weather, as rain never seemed to let up. A winner would not be decided until the 104th minute in double overtime. Both teams were held scoreless up until this point, and Lawrence Tech left with a 1-0 win.

    SOUTHFIELD, Mich.—On a very special night where the Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University men’s soccer team  (5-9, 4-4)  honored their Team Impact Member Aiden, the Blue Devils defeated the Saints of Siena Heights (Mich.) University (6-8-1, 3-4-1) by a score of 4-1. Along with honoring Aiden, the Blue Devils raised money and awareness for those with epilepsy.

University (6-7-1, 3-3-1) to Blue Devil Stadium, on Wednesday, October 23rd. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00pm. It will be a special night at Blue Devil Stadium because it is Team Impact Night.  The men’s soccer team will be raising money and awareness for those who battle with epilepsy. The team will be honoring Team Impact member Aiden, and the LTU women’s lacrosse team will be honoring their team’s impact kids. Please come out and show your support, not only for the men’s soccer team, but the honorees and those who are battling with epilepsy.
  • Blue Devils Fall to Warriors After Warriors Have Strong Second Half

    SOUTHFIELD, Mich.—The Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University (4-9, 3-4) men’s soccer team lost a very competitive match to the (RV) Indiana Tech Warriors (10-4, 7-0) by a score of 2-0. The Blue Devils and Warriors were tied after 45 minutes, but the Warriors came out strong in the second half and LTU was unable to respond.

    SOUTHFIELD, Mich.—The Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University men’s soccer team (4-8, 3-3) will welcome the (RV) Warriors of Indiana Tech (9-4, 6-0) to Blue Devil Stadium, on what will be Lawrence Technological University’s homecoming. It will be the first time these two teams have squared off since the 2018 WHAC Tournament Championship, which saw the Blue Devils capture their first ever WHAC Tournament Championship. The match is scheduled to begin at 4:30pm, following the football game vs. Siena Heights (Mich.).

    ROCHESTER, Mich—The Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University men’s soccer team fell on the road to Rochester (Mich.) University on Wednesday, October 16 by a score of 3-1. The Blue Devils went into half time down one, but were able to respond quickly to even the game at one. The Warriors were then able to strike two more times with less than ten minutes to play to put the Blue Devils away.

    SOUTHFIELD, Mich.-The Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University men?s soccer team (4-7, 3-2) will be traveling to Rochester, Mich. for a conference battle vs. the Rochester (Mich.) University Warriors (3-7-1, 1-4). The Blue Devils have won five straight when going up against the Warriors, including a 3-0 win last year at Blue Devil Stadium.  This year?s match-up is scheduled for a 1:30pm kickoff on Wednesday, October 16th.

    HOWELL, Mich.-The Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University men’s soccer team came up short on the road vs. Cleary (Mich.) University (5-4, 3-2). The Blue Devils fall to 4-7 overall and 3-2 in the WHAC after Saturday night’s match-up. A strong second half by the Cougars was the difference in this match; the Cougars were able to score two goals in the second half, while holding the Blue Devils scoreless. The final score was 4-2 in favor of Cleary University.

College (2-5-4, 1-2-1). The Blue Devils topped the Saints by a score of 2-0 and have now won four of their last five, including three straight.

The Blue Devils hope to get the same production out of their offense as they have in these last two games.

The Blue Devils jumped out an early lead, and netted an insurance goal in the second half to seal the victory by a score of 2-0. It was a picture perfect fall day at Blue Devils Stadium, and the Blue Devils came out ready to play.

The Blue Devils will be playing in just their second home match of the season. In their previous match, LTU was victorious over UM-Dearborn 3-1.

It was a complete game by the Blue Devils, outplayed the Wolverines in every facet of the game.

    LIVONIA, Mich.—The Lawrence Technological (Mich.) men’s soccer team (1-6, 0-1) dropped a close contest to the hands of the No. 15 ranked Madonna (Mich.) University Crusaders (4-2-1, 1-0). A late second half goal by the Crusaders gave them the 2-1 edge, and the Blue Devils did not have an answer to finish the game.

University men’s soccer team (1-5) opens up conference play this Saturday, September 28th, vs. an opponent who will be looking or some revenge. The Blue Devils will be traveling to No. 15 Madonna (Mich.) University for a much anticipated matchup. The two teams met last year in the semifinals of the WHAC Tournament, where the No. 4 seeded Blue Devils knocked off the No. 1 seeded Crusaders, 1-0.

University men’s soccer team swept the WHAC Player of the Week honors for their performances last week. Rodriguez-Bermejo earned Offensive Player of the Week honors while Jewett took Defensive Player of the Week honors.

    UPLAND, Ind.—The Lawrence Technological University (Mich.) men’s soccer team (1-5) picked up their first win of the season on the road vs. Taylor University (Ind.) (4-3-2) by a score of 2-0. The Blue Devils were firing on all cylinders this evening; the offense tallied a total of 20 shots with seven of them being on goal. The defense for LTU allowed two shots and neither of these shots were on goal. It was a great night for the Blue Devils, and will be entering conference play after getting their first win.
