SOUTHFIELD, Mich.—The Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University (4-9, 3-4) men's soccer team lost a very competitive match to the (RV) Indiana Tech Warriors (10-4, 7-0) by a score of 2-0. The Blue Devils and Warriors were tied after 45 minutes, but the Warriors came out strong in the second half and LTU was unable to respond.
As expected both the Blue Devils and Warriors came out playing aggressive. Neither team seemed to create a legitimate scoring chance. Both teams worked to setup their offense, but the defensive play did not budge for either team. The Warriors were able to get off four shots, while the Blue Devils were able to take two. Both teams only registered only one shot on goal.
The Warriors came out fast in the second half and found themselves ahead 1-0 after just 26 seconds. For the next 13 minutes it went back to the back and forth play by the offenses, with neither team getting an edge. However, in the 59th minute the Warriors were able to grow their lead to two. The Blue Devils were able to get two more shots on goal, but the Warrior goalkeeper denied both scoring chances. This was all the action in the second half and the Blue Devils dropped the home match by a score of 2-0.
The Blue Devils are back in action on Wednesday, October 23rd. They will be hosting the Saints of Siena Heights (Mich.) University (6-7, 3-3).
