Brooks Laimbeer is entering his second year with the Blue Devils men’s soccer team. Laimbeer grew up in the Metro Detroit Area where he played youth soccer for the Birmingham Blazers and Bloomfield Force FC. He attended Orchard Lake St. Mary’s and while at OLSM he played two years of varsity soccer and won All-League honors.
After graduating from OLSM, Laimbeer was offered a soccer scholarship to Trine University (Division III), but declined the offer and decided to focus on school. He attended Michigan State University where he covered the Michigan State Men’s and Women’s Soccer teams as well as Lansing United for MSU Impact Sports. In May 2015 he graduated from MSU with degrees in Journalism and Media & Information.
He will be entering his third year as the Midwest Regional Scout for the Portland Timbers of Major League Soccer and is a Staff Coach at the Michigan Rush.
Laimbeer also works closely with the staff that runs the Midwest Pro Combine to help with the player selection process as well as an Evaluator for the Michigan Olympic Development Program.
