SOUTHFIELD, Mich.- Eight student-athletes of the Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University softball team were named Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes, announced the national league office on Tuesday, May 28.
Meredith Adams, Alex Amos, Sydney Schultz, Jackie Mattingly, Brittney Bult, Bailey Brown, Katie Kubiak, and Cherilyn Banas were the Blue Devils that received this award. The softball team finished the Spring 2019 semester with a 3.5 GPA.
In order to be nominated by an institution, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved junior academic status. This year, 510 student-athletes were named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes. The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference claimed 48 honorees.
