KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The NAIA has announced the qualifying teams for the 2019 women's lacrosse National Invitational. The Lawrence Technological University women's team got an At-Large bid this year after narrowly falling to Indiana Tech on Saturday 14-11. The invite will be held at Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan from May 8th to the championship day that will be held on May 11th. Along with this, the last Top 10 Coaches' poll of the season was released, with the Blue Devils moving up a spot, going from 8th overall to 7th.

Lawrence Tech is one of four teams that have made an appearance in all four of the national tournament held since women's lacrosse become a NAIA sponsored sport. SCAD Savannah is the reigning title holder for the NAIA, coming in not only from back to back title, but from winning out their conference and holding the number one spot overall.

The Blue Devils will begin the push for a NAIA title with a tough match up against the NO. 1 seed SCAD on Thursday, May 9th at 4:00 p.m. The winner will play the winner of Indiana Tech and Keiser University (Fla) on Friday, May 10th at 7 p.m. The Bees are 11-1 this season with a lone loss to the University of Mount Olive (N.C.), an NCAA DII team, in the early weeks of their season.
