The Lawrence Technological University women's soccer team fell 2-1 to Mount Vernon Nazarene University (Ohio) on Saturday night. The lone goal from the Blue Devils bench was from Madison Bologna in the first half.
The game started off hot from kick off. The Blue Devils scored first in the 12th minute. Yet, this started a fire under the Cougars(4-2-1), who responded only moments later in the 15th minute. In the 25th minute, they capitalized again, with Natalie Covert-Saal grabbing the game winning goal.
Both teams competed on the field in the first half. Despite the best of the Lawrence Tech (3-2-0) efforts, they could not find the back of the net in the second half.
Up next for the women's soccer team is a game against Spring Arbor University (Mich.) at home on September 18th. The game is set to start at 7 p.m.
