The Lawrence Technological University women's soccer team hosted Indiana Institute of Technology on Saturday, October 19th for Homecoming weekend, surging past the Warriors 4-0, serving their seventh straight loss in against a WHAC opponent.
Ruling the night was Dahlia Jerovsek who had two back to back goals and another off the Warrior goalie in the third. One of which, assisted by other Freshman DiOnna Hill, was a beautiful shot from the left side of the net right over the Warrior keeper head. Jerovsek had the lone goal in the first half, unassisted on a break-away. In the second, following the cross from Hill to Jerovsek, Mather got an opportunity in front of net with a penalty kick, finding the far left side past the keeper's hand. The final goal, following a quick set by Nyboer, and off the foot of Jerovsek bounced around in front of the net and went in off the body of a Warrior, , giving it to Jerovsek, and making the deficit 4-0 and closing the game.
The Blue Devils (9-4-0, 5-2-0) dominated the game in every category, besides saves. The Warrior (4-10-0, 0-7-0) goalie had 10 saves in the backfield, but it was not enough.
Up next, LTU travels to Siena Heights University on Wednesday, October 23rd for a 7:00 match. The Saints (9-3-1, 5-1-0) come into this game following a match tonight against the ranked University of Northwestern Ohio.
