SOUTHFIELD, Mich.- The Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University women's tennis team released its spring 2019 tournament schedule, which will consist of nine matches and three tournaments.
The Blue Devils will open the season on Sunday, February 24 at 6 p.m. when they host Saginaw Valley State (Mich.) University at the Franklin Athletic Club. Then, Lawrence Tech will visit Wayne State (Mich.) University on February 27 at 1 p.m. in Detroit, Mich.
LTU will host three matches at the Franklin Athletic Club before leaving to Hilton Head, S.C. for Spring Break. The Blue Devils will face Lake Superior State (Mich.) University on March 2, Indiana Tech on March 6 at 12:30 p.m., and Concordia (Mich.) University-Ann Arbor on March 7 at 11 a.m. The matches against Indiana Tech and CUAA are part of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference schedule.
Lawrence Tech will then head to Hilton Head, S.C. to participate on the PTR Spring Tennisfest, where they will face off with Berry (Ga.) College on March 11, Gettysburg (Pa.) College on March 12, Catholic (D.C.) University of America on March 13, and Stockton (N.J.) University on March 14.
The Blue Devils will come back to Michigan to host two WHAC matches against Cornerstone (Mich.) University on March 23 at 5 p.m. and Aquinas (Mich.) College on March 30 at 5 p.m. Cleary (Mich.) University withdrew from the game on March 20, giving LTU an automatic win.
Lawrence Tech will attend the IWU Wildcat Invitational Tournament in Marion, Ind. on April 5 and 6, where the team will play against No. 10 Indiana Wesleyan University on April 5 at 4 p.m., seventh-ranked Cardinal Stritch (Wisc.) University on April 6 at 10 a.m., and Huntington (Ind.) University at 3 p.m.
The Blue Devils will play their last match of the regular season against No. 25 University of Northwestern Ohio on April 13 at 4 p.m. in the Franklin Athletic Club. The 2019 WHAC Tournament's first round will be played on April 18, location and times are still TBD.
