SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – The Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University women's volleyball team has moved to No. 20 in the latest NAIA Coaches Top 25 Poll, the national office announced on Wednesday afternoon.
Lawrence Tech (27-2, 18-0) moved up three spots as they clinched the WHAC Regular Season Championship last Friday. This is the highest ranking in Blue Devils program history as just three points separate the 18th, 19th, and 20th ranked programs. The Blue Devils earned 250 total points while Providence (Mont.) sit at 19th with 251 total points and Oklahoma City at 18th with 252 total points. They are the top-rated team in the WHAC.
Northwestern (Iowa) remains the top team with 21 first-place votes and 591 total points. Missouri Baptist comes in at No. 2 with 572 total points followed by Indiana Wesleyan at No. 3, Eastern Oregon at No. 4 and Park (Mo.) at No. 5. Lewis and Clark State (Idaho) is the lone new team in the top 25 while Oklahoma City jumped four spots.
The Blue Devils are back in action tonight when the Blue Devils travel to Livonia, Mich. to take on Madonna (Mich.) University. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
