SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – The Lawrence Technological University women's cross country finished in 22nd place out of 42 teams in the Ladies 5k at the 17th annual Louisville Classic this past Saturday, September 29.
Leading the Blue Devils once again was Marissa Bradley (SR/Haslett, Mich.) who placed 37th out of 346 runners with a time of 20:03. Following her was Hailey Catania (FR/Clarkston, Mich.) who came in 130th with a time of 21:26. Michelle Meister (SO/Hoffman Estates, Ill) came next with a time of 21:39 placing 154th. Next came was Monica Ellicott (SR/Caro, Mich.) with a time of 22:05 finishing in 180th place. Rounding up the team was Emily Gandolfi (JR/McBain, MI) who ran at a time of 22:18 in 189th place and Kelsey Catania (JR/Clarkston, Mich.) who finished at 308th place with a time of 25:40.
Coach Eric Green was impressed by the women's run at the Louisville Classic, ""I am so proud of our ladies team today as this was the best performance ever at this meet for them in the past seven years since we have been coming to this race." He looks forward to the rest of the season, now seeing results of previous workouts, "The training we have done so far this season is starting to payoff and I am looking forward to seeing the results of our up-coming workouts as well as our upcoming meets."
Their next meet is at the Lansing Community College invite on October 5th in Lansing, Mich.
