SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - The Lawrence Tech University women's team placed 10th of 21 teams at the Lansing Stars Invite Friday, October 5th in Lansing, Mich.
The Blue Devils ran a 5k course, and were led once again by Marissa Bradley (SR/Haslett, Mich.) who placed 32nd of 190 runners with a time of 20:03. The ladies average time of 20:57 and total time 1:44.47 is the best ever in the 7-year history of the program. The previous best was done last week at Louisville which was 21:29 1:46.10. Coach Eric Green was very proud of his team's running today, "I am so happy how the ladies team is progressing this season especially after today's performance. The workouts we have been doing up to this point of the season are finally paying off. They finally understand how the workouts are preparing them for the races and that the rest of the season workouts will fine tune that. I also need to mention that Hailey's time today as a freshman moved her to the top 3 all time for the LTU's top ten list with her run of 20:45, threatening Marissa's freshman record of 19:56."
The team now looks onward to Oberlin Invitational that is set to take place on October 13 in Oberlin, Ohio.
