Cross Country Teams Head to the Second Annual Warrior Challenge hosted by Wayne State University on Friday, September 21st

The Lawrence Technological University Cross Country programs head out to New Boston, Mich. for the second annual Warrior Challenge hosted by Wayne State University (Mich.) on Saturday, September 21st.

Following a third place finish for the men's side, the Blue Devils look forward running in this race, trying to find the right pace to beat their times from last year and the total time of 2:23 from last week for their top 5. Leading the group has been Nolan McGahan who came in 10th last week in the Otterbein Invite (Ohio.) with a time of 27:12 in the 8k distance

The ladies come into this meet with a few still injured. Despite this, they are making strides in time and experience. With newcomer Darbey Johnson finishing last week in a 23 second improvement with a time of 25:21 in the 6k distance, and Emily Gandolfi running for her first meet of the 2019 season, hopes are high.

Next week, on Saturday September 28th, the Blue Devils travel down to Kentucky to run in the Louisville Classic, which both teams ran in last year. This will be their final meet of September.
