Head Coach Kevin Wemyss had a remarkable 2022 season with the Blue Devils. The women held the #2 USBC ranking for three weeks in the polls this year (week 7, 16 & 17), and ended the season as the #5 team in the nation.
Wemyss took his team to the NAIA Bowling National Championships as the #11 seed in the tournament. LTU averaged 183 pins as a team on the season. The Blue Devils had won five events out of the 14 total tournaments in 2022. The highest point total the team earned was 52 back when they participated in the Columbia 300 Hoosier Classic (Tier 1). The women also finished top-2 five times this year.
Coach Wemyss won the Conference Tournament Championship for the second time in program history and the first since the 2015-16 season. Wemyss has respectively won the conference championship twice in his career at LTU which was during the 2020-21 & 2015-16 season. Wemyss has won back-to-back Coach of the Year awards after winning the award in the 2022 season. He has had the honor to coach four NAIA All-American First Team members, one NAIA All-American Team member, eight All-Conference First Team members, four All-Conference Second Team members, and four All-Conference Honorable Mention Team members.
