SPORTS MEDICINE STAFF

Rachel Blonde MAT, AT, ATC

Rachel is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University with both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Athletic Training degrees. During her time at EMU, she worked with baseball, women's lacrosse, women's swim & dive, and track & field. She completed her final clinical immersion at Lawrence Technological University. 

She has been employed by Henry Ford Health since August 2022, where she is continuing to provide sports medicine care at LTU. 

Rachel is assigned to cover Baseball, Men's Ice Hockey, Women's Volleyball, Cheer, Dance and Golf.

Ally Drewyour MAT, AT, ATC 

Ally completed her Bachelor of Science and Master of Athletic Training from Eastern Michigan University. Prior to LTU, she was an athletic trainer with Corewell Health & Grosse Ile High School and Middle School. 

While at Eastern Michigan, Ally completed clinical experiences with the University of Detroit-Mercy and Huron High School. Ally holds a certification as an MHSAA Certified Skinfold Assessor. 

Ally is assigned to cover Men's Soccer, Men's Basketball, Women's Ice Hockey and Softball.

Hannah Kargol MS, AT, ATC, NR-EMT 

Hannah earned her Bachelor of Science, Exercise Science/Pre- Athletic Training with a minor in Psychology and Master of Science in Athletic Training from Adrian College in Michigan. Hannah has been a part of Henry Ford Health since 2023 and is currently covering LTU Football and Men's Lacrosse.

Prior to Henry Ford Health, Hannah was with Excelsior Orthopedics in Buffalo, New York where she provided outreach athletic training at a local middle and high school. She also assisted in the orthopedic and physical therapy clinics while with Excelsior.  Along with her athletic training roles, Hannah is also a nationally registered emergency medical technician (NR-EMT), and served in that capacity with Armor Volunteer Fire Company in Hamburg, New York. In addition, she is certified as an American Heart Association BLS Instructor.

Sam Orr DAT, AT, ATC


Lindsey Rush MSAT, AT, ATC

Lindsey Rush has been employed by Henry Ford Health since July 2022 where she was assigned to cover LTU Women's Soccer, Women's Basketball, Women's Lacrosse, and Bowling. 

Lindsey is a graduate of Concordia University Ann Arbor, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine and Master of Science in Athletic Training.

Prior to her assignment at LTU, Lindsey provided sports medicine coverage to Northern Kentucky University's softball team.

Eric Kastrup 
MEd, AT, ATC

Eric completed his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Southeast Missouri State University and Master of Education in Exercise Science from Wichita State University.

Since 2018, he was employed with Saint Joseph Health System as an Athletic Trainer with assignment to Saint Joseph High School. Prior to this, Eric was with Ochsner Sports Medicine Institute (Southern University at New Orleans, Helen Cox High School, and Holy Cross High School, Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas, and completed while completing his Master's was a graduate assistant AT with softball at Wichita State University.

Eric is assigned to cover men's basketball, tennis, and golf.

HENRY FORD DOCTORS

Jonathan Carrier, D.O.

Dr. Carrier graduated from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, Physical Medicine in 2014. He also did his residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in 2017 and also Ascension St John Hospital, Transitional in 2015. Dr. Carrier had his fellowship with Washington University, Sports Medicine in 2019. 

In addition he has certifications in ABEM-American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine and ABPMR-The American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. 

Patricia Kolowich, M.D.

Dr. Kolowich graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School, where she also completed her residency training in orthopedic surgery. She received her sports medicine training at The Orthopedic Specialty Clinic, Salt Lake Knee & Sports Medicine in Utah. Working at Henry Ford Hospital for more than 20 years, seven of which she served as the Division Head of Sports Medicine, she is currently the Sports Medicine Fellowship Director.
 
In addition to working with LTU, Dr. Kolowich works with Detroit Catholic Central hockey team and has worked with the Detroit Red Wings, Detroit Rockers and Detroit Ignition. Dr. Kolowich currently sees patients at the William Clay Ford Center for Athletic Medicine in Detroit and Henry Ford Medical Center - Columbus (Novi).

Nancy White, M.D.

Dr. White is a sports medicine physician through the Department of Orthopaedics at HFHS. She is board-certified in family medicine and sports medicine. Dr. White attended medical school at Michigan State University and completed her post-graduate education at Providence Hospital for Family Medicine and Michigan State University for Sports Medicine.
 
In addition to providing medical coverage at LTU, Dr. White serves as the Program Director for the Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship Program, as an International Team for US Figure Skating, and provides coverage to Cranbrook Kingswood Schools. Dr. White currently sees patients at the William Clay Ford Center for Athletic Medicine in Detroit and Henry Ford Medical Center - Columbus (Novi).


HENRY FORD SPORTS PSYCHOLOGIST

Seth Swary, PhD, LPC, CMPC
 

Dr. Swary is a sport psychology clinician with Henry Ford Health Sports Medicine, where he provides mental health and performance services to athletes and performers. He is a licensed professional counselor in the state of Michigan and a certified mental performance consultant (CMPC) through the Association of Applied Sport Psychology. Prior to Henry Ford, Dr. Swary served as the Coordinator of Sport & Performance Psychology for Oakland University.
 
Dr. Swary completed his Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience and Psychology at Ohio Wesleyan University, his Master of Arts in Sport & Performance Psychology at the University of Denver, and his Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and PhD in Sport, Exercise, & Performance Psychology at West Virginia University.  In addition to working with LTU, Dr. Swary provides mental health and performance services to Oakland University, the University of Detroit Mercy, and the Motor City Cruise.

 


The athletic trainers (ATs) at Lawrence Technological University work under the direction and supervision of physicians from Henry Ford Health. At LTU, an AT is present for all major sports home games, as well as in the athletic training room during non-game days for injury prevention, assessment and care of injuries, and to provide treatment or rehabilitation. Hours are posted on the athletic training room door and the LTU athletics website.
