SPORTS MEDICINE STAFF

Rachel Blonde, MAT, AT, ATC

Blonde is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University with both her bachelor's and master's degrees in athletic training. During her time at EMU, she worked with baseball, women's lacrosse, women's swim & dive, and track & field. She completed her final clinical immersion at Lawrence Technological University. 

She has been employed by Henry Ford Health since August 2022, where she is continuing to provide sports medicine care at LTU. 

Blonde is assigned to cover Baseball and Men's Ice Hockey.

Lindsey Rush, MSAT, AT, ATC

Lindsey Rush has been employed by Henry Ford Health since July 2022 where she was assigned to cover LTU women's soccer, women's basketball, and women's lacrosse.

She received her bachelor's degree in sports medicine and master's degree in athletic training from Concordia University Ann Arbor.

Prior to her assignment at LTU, Lindsey provided sports medicine coverage to Northern Kentucky University's softball team.

Hannah Emerson MS, AT, ATC, NR-EMT 

Hannah earned her Bachelor of Science, Exercise Science/Pre- Athletic Training with a minor in Psychology and Master of Science in Athletic Training from Adrian College in Michigan. Hannah has been a part of Henry Ford Health since 2023 and is currently the assistant athletic trainer for the varsity football team.   

Prior to Henry Ford Health, Hannah was with Excelsior Orthopedics in Buffalo, New York where she provided outreach athletic training at a local middle and high school. She also assisted in the orthopedic and physical therapy clinics while with Excelsior.  Along with her athletic training roles, Hannah is also a nationally registered emergency medical technician (NR-EMT), and served in that capacity with Armor Volunteer Fire Company in Hamburg, New York. In addition, she is certified as an American Heart Association BLS Instructor.

HENRY FORD DOCTORS

Nancy White, M.D.

Dr. White is a sports medicine physician through the Department of Orthopaedics at HFHS. She is board-certified in family medicine and sports medicine. Dr. White attended medical school at Michigan State University and completed her post-graduate education at Providence Hospital for Family Medicine and Michigan State University for Sports Medicine.
 
In addition to providing medical coverage at LTU, Dr. White serves as the Program Director for the Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship Program, as an International Team for US Figure Skating, and provides coverage to Cranbrook Kingswood Schools. Dr. White currently sees patients at the William Clay Ford Center for Athletic Medicine in Detroit and Henry Ford Medical Center - Columbus (Novi).

Patricia Kolowich, M.D.

Dr. Kolowich graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School, where she also completed her residency training in orthopedic surgery. She received her sports medicine training at The Orthopedic Specialty Clinic, Salt Lake Knee & Sports Medicine in Utah. Working at Henry Ford Hospital for more than 20 years, seven of which she served as the Division Head of Sports Medicine, she is currently the Sports Medicine Fellowship Director.
 
In addition to working with LTU, Dr. Kolowich works with Detroit Catholic Central hockey team and has worked with the Detroit Red Wings, Detroit Rockers and Detroit Ignition. Dr. Kolowich currently sees patients at the William Clay Ford Center for Athletic Medicine in Detroit and Henry Ford Medical Center - Columbus (Novi).


The athletic trainers (ATs) at Lawrence Technological University work under the direction and supervision of physicians from Henry Ford Health System. At LTU, an AT is present for all major sports home games, as well as in the athletic training room during non-game days for injury prevention, assessment and care of injuries, and to provide treatment or rehabilitation. Hours are posted on the athletic training room door and the LTU athletics website.
