Last Meeting:

In the last meeting between the crosstown foes, LTU dropped a heartbreaker to Madonna University (Mich.), 89-87 in overtime. The Crusaders overcame an 11-point deficit to snap the Blue Devils four-game conference win streak. Five players - Allison Bicknell, Alex Ruster, Maegan Branham, Allison Kitchen, and Hayley Walkowski - all topped double-figures, including a career-high 18 points by Ruster.

Last Time Out:

In the Blue Devils last contest, the University of Northwestern Ohio erased an 11-point first half deficit to defeat LTU, 69-63, in the final minute. A layup with 13 seconds remaining would not fall for Lawrence Tech, as the Racers iced the game at the charity stripe. Allison Kitchen led all scorers with 20 points, while Hali Butler collected her second double-double of the year with ten points and 11 rebounds.

Scouting the Crusaders:

No. 22-ranked Madonna travels crosstown carrying a 13-6 (12-1 WHAC) record, with the lone conference loss coming against No. 4 Davenport University (Mich.). Of the Crusaders six losses, four have come at the hand of NCAA Division 1 or Division 2 level competition. Michele Hayes leads the way for Madonna, averaging a WHAC best 20.8 points per game. However, three other Crusaders - Lindsey Hernden, Rachel Melcher, and Justice Dean - all average double-digit points. Hernden and Dean are Madonna's key shooters, accounting for 86 of the team's 129 three-pointers this season.

Filling the Box Score:

On Feb. 19, 2014, the last time Lawrence Tech hosted Madonna, the Blue Devils poured in a school-record 116 points. The 63-point performance in the second half was more than LTU scored in eight games that season. Six Blue Devils scored more than ten points, including Allison Kitchen and Maegan Branham, who teamed up for 31 points and ten rebounds.
