  • The Lawrence Technological University women's program is ranked 16th in the latest NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll. The Blue Devils received 159 total points to move up one spot.
  • Lawrence Tech defeated the Golden Eagles on November 24, 67-57 at Don Ridler Field House. It was the Blue Devils first win over Cornerstone, who was receiving votes at the time. LTU is 1-6 overall against Cornerstone.
  • Cornerstone enters the game winning three of their last four games and sits in third place in the WHAC. The Golden Eagles are 5-3 at home while Lawrence Tech is 10-0 on the road this season.

No. 16 Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University (16-1, 13-1 WHAC) women's basketball team travels to Grand Rapids, Mich. to face WHAC foe Cornerstone (Mich.) University (12-9, 10-4 WHAC). Tip is set for 5:30 p.m.

  • Lawrence Tech ranks first in NAIA Division II three-point defense percentage at 25.6 percent. They rank third in the total rebound defense (31.58), fourth in total rebound margin (13.18), ninth in total rebounds per game (44.77), and rank 10th in scoring defense per game (58.59).
  • LTU ranks second in the WHAC in scoring defense per game, second in total rebound margin, and rank first in total rebound defense.
  • The Blue Devils are led by a trio of players that average double-figures including reigning, two-time WHAC player of the week Christina Henry (JR/Lansing, Mich.) who averages 14.3 points per game (PPG). Allison Kitchen (JR/Clio, MI) is second on the team at 13.6 PPG followed by Hali Butler (SR/Fairport Harbor, OH) at 11.3 PPG.
  • As a team, LTU is scoring 73.7 PPG as they shoot 46.2 percent from the field which ranks sixth in NAIA Division II. The Blue Devils rank 13th in assists per game (17.11), 20th in offensive rebounds per game (15.00), and 48th in total assists (291).
  • Individually, Kitchen ranks third in NAIA Division II field goal percentage at 61.6 percent. Henry ranks 44th in steals per game (2.24) and 48th in field goal percentage (0.454).
  • Hali Butler leads LTU in rebounds per game (6.65) and total rebounds (113). Cherilyn Banas (FR/Oxford, Mich.) ranks first on the team in assists per game at 2.77. Banas has 47 total assists on the season. Jazmine Brown (SR/Chesterfield, MI) has a team high seven blocks on this season.
  • Cornerstone enters the game having defeated Lourdes (Ohio) University on Saturday, Jan. 23, 69-49. It is the third win in four games for the Golden Eagles who are now 10-4 in conference play and sit three game back of Lawrence Tech and Davenport for top spot in the WHAC.
  • Jesse Sheridan leads Cornerstone with 16.38 PPG and 2.10 assists per game. Sheridan ranks fifth in NAIA Division II in free throw percentage (0.877) and 35th in total scoring (344). Jill Steenwyk leads the Golden Eagles in rebounds per game (6.15) and blocks per game (1.35). Steenwyk ranks 37th in blocks per game and 38th in total blocks (27).
  • Cornerstone ranks 34th in NAIA Division II in scoring defense per game (61.95) and 37th in total blocks (67). CU averages 63.9 PPG while allowing 62.0 PPG. They shoot 38.3 percent from the field.
