No. 17 LTU Takes Down UNOH in Regular Season Finale, 59-42

LIMA, Ohio - The 17th-ranked Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University (LTU) women's basketball team defeated University of Northwestern Ohio 59-42 to close a historical regular season for the Blue Devils. LTU won a record 22 regular season games including a program best 19 games in the WHAC.

Lawrence Tech (22-3, 19-3 WHAC) used a 30 point performance from Hali Butler (SR/Fairport Harbor, OH) to defeat the Racers on Saturday afternoon. Allison Kitchen (JR/Clio, MI) added a double-double, 10 points and 10 rebounds in the win. Nicole Buckingham (FR/Saginaw, Mich.) added 15 points and nine rebounds.

The Blue Devils took a 27-16 lead into the second quarter, but a strong start from the Racers in the second, cut the lead to three, 29-26 with 3:58 on the clock. Lawrence Tech closed the quarter out on an 8-0 run to take a 37-26 lead into the locker room.

LTU built a 52-36 lead with 1:35 left in the third as they closed the game with an uneventful 7-6 advantage in the fourth to win the game 59-42.
