No. 19 LTU hosts Aquinas in WHAC Action on Wednesday Night

  • Lawrence Tech is now ranked 19th in NAIA Division II Top 25 Poll following a 1-1 week that saw them fall to Cornerstone (Mich.) University 63-60 and defeat Lourdes (Ohio) University 63-48.
  • In the third game of the season, LTU defeated Aquinas 75-55 in Grand Rapids, Mich. Lawrence Tech is now 2-5 all-time against Aquinas.
  • Lawrence Tech is 7-1 at home this season and is 1-2 against Aquinas at home with the lone win coming on Feb. 13, 2013, 61-57.

The 19th-ranked Lawrence Technological University women's basketball team (17-2, 14-2 WHAC) hosts Aquinas (Mich.) College (7-16, 6-10 WHAC) on Wednesday (Feb. 3) at Don Ridler Field House. Tip is set for 6 p.m.

  • Lawrence Tech ranks second in NAIA Division II three-point field goal percent defense (0.254), third in total rebound defense (31.74) and 10th in total rebounds per game (44.32) and scoring defense per game (58.26).
  • Offensively, the Blue Devils rank sixth in NAIA DII field goal percentage (0.457), 13th in assists per game (17.11), 16th in offensive rebounds per game (14.90), 16th in scoring margin (14.16), and 31st in scoring offense per game (72.42).
  • Allison Kitchen (JR/Clio, MI) leads the Blue Devils in points per game at 13.42, while Hali Butler (SR/Fairport Harbor, OH) grabs a team high 6.95 rebounds per game. Cherilyn Banas (FR/Oxford, Mich.) averages a team high 2.79 assists per game with Christina Henry (JR/Lansing, Mich.) leading the way with 2.26 steals per game. Jazmine Brown (SR/Chesterfield, MI) averages a team best 0.47 blocks per game.
  • Aquinas enters the game coming off a pair of losses to Concordia (Mich.) and Madonna (Mich.) as they sit in ninth place in the WHAC at 6-10.
  • The Saints rank 29th in NAIA DII total rebounds (959), 32nd in total rebounds per game (41.57), 39th in offensive rebounds per game (13.70), and 41st in defensive rebounds per game (27.87).
  • McKenzie Breimayer leads the Saints in points per game at 10.4, Katie Theut ranks first on the team in total rebounds (113), Tyra Williams leads the team in rebounds per game (5.4), while Daneigh Wilde has a team high 52 assists.
