MILWAUKEE, Wisc. - The Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University women's basketball team hosts No. 6-ranked Davenport (Mich.) University in the schools final regular season trip to Don Ridler Field House. Opening tip is set for 1 p.m.
Lawrence Tech (12-8, 8-5) dropped the opening game with Davenport in Grand Rapids, Mich., 62-55 on December 3. Nicole Buckingham (SO/Saginaw, Mich.) led the way for LTU with 14 points and six rebounds. Danielle Hanson (FR/East Lansing, Mich.) added 11 points and four rebounds. Davenport was led by Courtney Murphy with 17 points and Mallory Sewell with 16 points and six rebounds.
The Blue Devils enter the game riding a two-game losing streak following losses at Madonna (Mich.) University and University of Northwestern Ohio. Davenport (19-2, 13-0) is riding a five-game win streak and a 13-game win streak in conference play.
Buckingham leads the Blue Devils in points per game with 16.9 while Allison Kitchen (SR/Clio, MI) averages a team high 6.45 rebounds per game. Buckingham ranks 25th in NAIA DII total scoring (338) while Hayley Walkowski (JR/Marshall, MI) is 27th in assist/turnover ratio (2.00).
As a team, LTU ranks 17th in NAIA DII turnover margin (4.65) and 22nd in total steals (208).
Davenport is led by Murphy with 12.4 points per game while Jenna Falkenberg grabs a team high 8.2 rebounds per game. Chri Carter is tops on the team in assists with Falkenberg blocking 1.57 shots per game.
