SOUTHFIELD, Mich. -- The Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University women's basketball defeated University of Michigan - Dearborn 74-56 on Wednesday night in Southfield, Mich.
Lawrence Tech (19-4, 11-3) was led by Nicole Buckingham (JR/Saginaw, Mich.) with 24 points, three blocks, three steals, three assists, and three rebounds. Teryn Kline (FR/Fort Wayne, IN) added 15 points and three rebounds while Hayley Walkowski (SR/Marshall, MI) finished with 14 points and five rebounds.
The Blue Devils led after the first quarter 17-8 before UM-Dearborn battled back to within one, 27-26 at halftime. The Wolverines took a 39-36 lead at the 4:35 mark of the third quarter, but Lawrence Tech retook the lead at 51-39 to end the third. The Blue Devils finished the game with a 74-56 win.
Lawrence Tech is back on the court Saturday, January 27 when they head to Siena Heights (Mich.) University for a 5:30 p.m. tip.
