No. 22 Lawrence Tech falls to No. 10 Indiana Tech 74-68 on Wednesday Night

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - The Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University women's basketball falls to Indiana Technological (Ind.) University by six points ending for a total of 74-68 on a Wednesday night in early January at the Don Ridler Fieldhouse.

Hayley Walkowski (SR/Marshall, MI) was the first to put the Blue Devils on the board from within the arc while the Warriors lead 3-2. Indiana Tech kept the lead until well into the second quarter with a shot from beyond the arc from Kaitlyn Smith (SO/Holly, Mich.) pushing LTU to a 25-22 lead. The warrior stole back the lead ending the half 38-33.

Although LTU was close behind Indiana Tech, kept there lead the entire second half. Walkowski was the leading scorer for the Blue Devils with 15 points, followed by Nicole Buckingham (JR/Saginaw, Mich.), with 11 points, and Cherilyn Banas (JR/Oxford, Mich.) with seven points. The Blue Devils were 24-55 (43.6%) inside the arc, 6-19 (31.6%) from beyond the arc, and 14-15 (93.3%) from the line.

Lawrence Tech hit the road to Sylvania, Ohio next to take one Lourdes (Ohio) University Saturday, January 6, at 1:00 p.m.
