SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - Next up for the Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University women's soccer team is a match against Purdue University Northwest (Ind.) at home on September 4 where kickoff is set for 7 p.m. under the lights at the LTU Athletic Field.
The Blue Devils (3-1-0) are currently on a three game home winning streak, where their only lost was an away game to University of Rio Grande (Ohio). They have seen the Purdue Pride (0-1-0) only one previous time where they came out on top back in 2016. The Pride are coming off a lost on the road against Indianapolis University (Ind.) where they were shutout 9-0, only getting one shot on goal throughout the entire game.
For LTU, the stats have been spread across the board. Katelyn Mather (SO/Bloomfield, Mich.) and Sidney McClay (FR/Romeo, Mich.) lead with two goals on the season. Alongside with McClay, Lauren Wasiak (SO/Walled Lake, Mich.) and Alayne Nyboer (JR/Grandville, Mich.) all have two assists so far this year. They have outshot their opponents 84-37 this year and had 17 more corner kick opportunities as well. They hope to continue to push those numbers in the game against the Pride before facing Spring Arbor University (Mich.) on September 11 in Spring Arbor, Michigan.
