HOW IT HAPPENED

Much like most the the Blue Devil's (17-8, 11-4) first quarters, the game was close, with the Wolverines (13-11, 6-8) out scoring LTU 19-16. Despite this, the Blue Devils had five assists alone in the first quarter and diversified the shooting, with six Blue Devils making their mark.

The Second quarter was much more heated by Lawrence Tech, putting up 29 to the Dearborn 17. In this quarter, Smith heated up, going 3-4 from both inside and outside. Right with her was the six points from Danielle Hanson and Julia Huey

The third saw the Wolverines battle back, grabbing 27 points and keeping LTU from grabbing too much of a lead at 23. Smith continued to bury her shots, with Kline following right behind her, grabbing eight points, two from each spot on the court.

It was not until the fourth and final quarter that the Blue Devils displayed their prowess, sinking 21 points and limiting Michigan to a devastating 9 points. Here, The blue Devils grabbed 15 rebounds, with Kline sinking eight buckets, Smith adding six to her total and Hanson going 100% from the field goal and three point range. In contrast, Dearborn only grabbed four total rebounds in the fourth, went 16% from inside and did not hit a single three point shot.

Lawrence Tech now continues their road game streak with a game in a week against Madonna in Livonia, Mich. on February 8th where tip off is set for 1:00 p.m..
