Box Score SOUTHFIELD, Mich.- The Lawrence Tech Blue Devils came into tonight's game against the 12th ranked Warriors of Indiana Tech with an upset on their mind. The Warriors of Indiana Tech had a different story in mind as the Blue Devils would fall on Wednesday night inside the Don Ridler Field House 50-79. It marks back to back conference losses for the Blue Devils and their eighth straight loss in the series against Indiana Tech.
Overall the Blue Devils shot 18-57 (31.6%) from the field 6-21 (28.6%) from downtown and 8-12 (66.7%) from the charity stripe on the night. The starting five combined for a total of 42 points on the night with their bench contributing eight points overall. For a team that prides itself on shooting the three-pointer, they have been struggling recently. In their game on Feb. 8th in a loss to Madonna, they shot 16% from beyond the arc tonight, shooting 28.6%. Currently, they are shooting in this two-game slide 22.3%.
The Blue Devils were lead by two Indiana natives tonight first sophomore Kendall Fisher who had a team-high 18 pts on the night alongside her eight rebounds and three assists. The Blue Devils second-leading scorer tonight was junior Teryn Kline, who had 17 pts and five rebounds on the night. Senior Hope Dollarhide added a spark off the bench with five points and six rebounds in tonight's game.
Looking ahead, the Blue Devils get ready to honor four seniors on Saturday afternoon in the Don Ridler Field House alongside welcoming conference rival Siena Heights to town. The four seniors that the Blue Devils will be honoring are Hope Dollarhide, Rachel Price, Danielle Hanson, and Kaitlyn Smith. Tip-off is set for 1 pm on Saturday, with senior day festivities taking place before the tip-off.
