Box Score West Palm Beach, Fla. - The Lawrence Technological University Blue Devils women's basketball team squared off against the Keiser University Seahawks in the Keiser New Year's Classic.
Keiser came away with a 67-58 victory. Kendall Fisher led everyone with 22 points and 10 assists. Keiser had four players in double figures, including 14 and a game-leading 15 rebounds from Elise Ellison-Coons.

1st Quarter
- Angela Denis' layup from Kaitlyn Fertig starts the scoring
- Kylee Batey finds Dominique Evans for a layup to tie it at two
- Julia Huey's three gave the Blue Devils a five-point lead
- Taylor Jones' layup cut the deficit to three
- Shykim Gillion's jumper gave the Seahawks the lead
- Fisher's three returned the lead to the Blue Devils
- Elliana Schaefer knotted the game up as the final basket of the quarter
- After one, the score was tied 14-14
2nd Quarter
- Fisher jumper kicks off the second quarter scoring
- Ellison-Coons answers with a three
- Addie Nagel's jumper reclaims the lead for LTU
- Chira De Virgilio finds Fertig for a layup, forcing an LTU timeout
- Evans' layup ties the game once more
- A couple of Fertig layups gave the Seahawks a three-point lead into intermission
- Keiser led 29-26 at the break
3rd Quarter
- De Virgilio's three starts out the second-half scoring
- Denis' free throws extends the Keiser cushion to eight
- Gracie Mitchell ends the Keiser 8-0 run with a jumper
- Ellison-Coons freebie grows the lead to 10
- Fisher scored five straight Blue Devils points
- Two De Virgilio foul shots ended the scoring for the third
- Keiser led 51-42
4th Quarter
- Batey layup kicks off the fourth-quarter scoring
- Jade Faris' layup from Fisher cut the Blue Devils deficit to five
- Schaefer's trey extended the Seahawk advantage back to eight
- Denis' layup from Schaefer gave the Seahawks a 14-point cushion, leading to an LTU timeout with just over five minutes remaining
- A Huey three and Faris layup would bring the game within single digits with a little over three to play
- Olivia Siedlecki would hit a pair of free throws to make it an eight point game
- De Virgilio's free throws ended the scoring
- Keiser defeats Lawrence Tech 67-58
By the Numbers:
- Keiser held Lawrence Tech to 22-of-70 (31.4 percent) from the field, but what kept the Blue Devils in the game was their free throw percentage 10-of-13 (76.9 percent)
The Blue Devils (9-8) will continue at the Keiser New Year's Classic for a 12pm tip-off tomorrow against Webber International.
