Box Score SOUTHFIELD, Mich.- Women's basketball was back on the hardwood at home after playing a grueling stretch of basketball this season with 6 games in 8 days that saw the Blue Devils go 3-3 during that span. Wednesday night, the Blue Devils took on Indiana Tech looking to avenge their loss to the Warriors last February in the WHAC Championship game. However, the Warriors had a different idea, running away with the game in the fourth quarter to beat the Blue Devils 63-47.
Last night saw the Blue Devils add their 7th overall member to the Women's Basketball 1,000 Point Club in senior Teryn Kline, who need just 7 points last night to join the elusive club. Kline did just that, ending the night with 8 pts and picking up her 1,000th point at the charity stripe.
Kendall Fisher leads the way Wednesday night for the Blue Devils with 20 pts, 4 asst, 2 steals, and 5 rebounds. Fisher was the lone double-digit scorer for the Blue Devils Wednesday night. Teryn Kline ended the night with 8 pts, and Gabby Gough had 6 pts and 5 rebounds.
Overall the Blue Devils had 27 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 steals, 2 blocks, and 3 turnovers on the evening. Lawrence Tech shot 15-59 from the field, shooting 25.4% for the game, 4-20 from beyond the arc shooting 20% on the night, and 13-15 at the charity stripe shooting 86.7%.
Looking ahead, the Blue Devils hit the road to Concordia to take on the Cardinals on Saturday afternoon in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Tip-off's slated for 1 pm inside Cardinal Field House.
