The Blue Devils did just that off a career night for Ft. Wayne, Indiana native Teryn Kline, who helped the Blue Devils capture the 87-64 win Monday night.
The Blue Devils' stifling defense from the get-go set the tone for the game holding the Golden Eagles to 3 pts in the first quarter. Overall, the Blue Devils outrebound Cornerstone 34-21 Monday night. The Blue Devils had 4 double-digit scorers Mondy, led by Hoosier, Teryn Kline, who had 32 pts and looked unstoppable. Fellow Hoosiers Kendall Fisher had 12 pts, and Julia Huey had 14 pts. Jade Faris had 11 pts; meanwhile, Cierra Harris had 7 pts, and Kylee Batey had 5 pts.
Overall the Blue Devils had 34 rebounds, 22 assists, 5 steals, 2 blocks, and 20 turnovers on Monday night while shooting 29-51 from the field, going 13-20 from beyond the arc and 16-19 from the charity stripe.
Looking ahead, the Blue Devils will celebrate Senior Night for Teryn Kline and Emily Langolf, with the celebration kicking off before tip-off against UNOH on Tuesday night. From there, the Blue Devils will start the push to the National Tournament, with the WHAC playoffs kicking off on Thursday night. Seedings will be released on Wednesday from the Conference Office.
