Box Score SOUTHFIELD, Mich.- Women's basketball was at home on Wednesday, February 3rd, inside the Don Ridler Field House for the first time since the restart of the basketball season on January 27th. Since the restart, the Blue Devils, who had played three road games, were looking for a bounce-back win after dropping 2 of 3 games.
The Blue Devils did just that with a bounce-back win over Madonna, winning 67-48, improving to 3-5 and 1-2 in the conference. It took a fourth-quarter surge by the Blue Devils offensively to push them over the hump against the Crusaders. A spark off the bench for the Blue Devils in freshman Gabby Fogerty who grabbed 7 boards, was a factor, including Cierra Harris, who had 8 pts and 4 boards off the bench.
Kendall Fisher leads the way for the Blue Devils with 16 pts and 13 rebounds, while Gabby Gough continues to hit her stride as of late with 14 pts and 8 rebounds. Kylee Batey had 10 pts and 3 rebounds, going 4-4 at the charity stripe. Teryn Kline had 8 pts and went 3-3 at the charity stripe for the Blue Devils.
The Blue Devils shot 29.4% from the field Wednesday evening, shooting 74.3% from the charity stripe in the win over the Crusaders.
Looking ahead, the Blue Devils have little time to rest as they have back-to-back night, this time taking on WHAC foe Aquinas in a reschedule against the Saints from Wednesday, January 27th.
