Southfield, Mich. - The Lawrence Technological University Blue Devils women's basketball team took on the Michigan-Dearborn Wolverines in WHAC play.

The Wolverines came away with a 63-50 victory at home, on Lawrence Tech's home floor.

Mariah Taylor led all scorers with 16 points off the Wolverine bench. Kylee Batey led the Blue Devils with 15 points and seven rebounds.

How it Happened:

1st Quarter

• Julia Huey opened the scoring with a triple
• Cydney Williams and Maya Barakat's back-to-back layups gave the Wolverines a 4-3 lead
• Following a Dominique Evans layup, the Wolverines score seven unanswered to give Dearborn a 14-5 lead
• An Addie Nagel jumper would cut the deficit to seven
• The Wolverines would close out the final five minutes of the quarter on a 9-0 spurt
• Wolverines led the Blue Devils 23-7 after one

2nd Quarter

• Evans' free-throw kicked off the second quarter scoring
• Taylor's back-to-back jumpers led to eight unanswered for Michigan-Dearborn
• Batey and Nagel's back-to-back buckets brought the game to 35-14
• Kendall Fisher's layup at the buzzer brought the deficit within twenty
• UMD 37, LTU 18 at the half

3rd Quarter

• Maricela Macias' trey started the second half scoring
• Williams' triple expanded the cushion to 24
• Evans' freebies followed by a Jade Faris layup lowered the margin to 20
• A Brenna Bartlett jumper led to a Michigan-Dearborn timeout
• Taylor and Batey traded buckets to end the third
• The Michigan-Dearborn led was 20, 50-30, after three

4th Quarter

• Nagel's jumper got the fourth quarter tally going
• Batey and Taylor trade layups
• Ro'Zhane Wells layup followed by a free throw on the following possession extended the advantage to 21
• A Huey triple brought the difference to 18
• Fisher's jumper and Batey's three ended the game with LTU on a 5-0 run
• Wolverines 63, Blue Devils 50
