Ann Arbor, Mich. - The Lawrence Technological University women's basketball team traveled to take on the Concordia Cardinals in WHAC play.

The Cardinals came away with a 71-64 victory. Taylor Leatherman led all players with 16 points. Kendall Fisher led the Blue Devils with 15 points and eight assists. Kylee Batey tallied 14 points and 11 rebounds.

How it Happened:

1st Quarter

• Leatherman's layup kicks off the game
• Keirslynn Lawless makes a layup to make it 4-0 CUAA
• Back-to-back Olivia Siedlecki baskets gave LTU an early 6-4 lead
• Following an Alize Tripp layup, the Blue Devils scored eight-in-a-row
• Tripp ends the 8-0 LTU run with a triple
• Izzy Viau finds Samanth Dorn for a bucket to end the scoring
• Blue Devils 14, Cardinals 11 after one

2nd Quarter

• Dorn's trey tied the game to start the second
• Julia Hirt's triple gave the Cardinals a 19-14 lead
• Following Jade Faris' layup, Dorn and Batey trade single points from the stripe
• Addie Nagel and Fisher's back-to-back layups reclaimed the Blue Devil lead at 21-20
• Leatherman finds Ellie Kallner for three, continuing the see-saw battle, taking the lead back
• A Fisher layup knotted the game at 23
• Back-to-back Cardinal layups to give the lead back to Concordia
• Gracie Mitchell and Nagel answered with back-to-back jumpers to tie the game going into half time
• The teams were deadlocked at 27 at half

3rd Quarter

• After two minutes of scoreless ball, Lawless converted a layup to start the points for the third
• Fisher and Asaria Turman trade layups
• Leatherman's layup sparked a 6-0 run to give the Cardinals a 38-31 lead
• Julia Huey buried a three to whittle the deficit back to four
• Fisher sets up Mitchell to even it at 38
• A personal 5-0 Alize Tripp spurt gave the Cardinals a lead into the fourth
• Cardinals lead 43-38 after three

4th Quarter

• Lawless and Fisher trade layups to open the fourth
• Leatherman hit a three to extend the lead to eight
• Batey hits a three, then followed it up with a layup to trim it to three
• Kallner drains a three, pushing the advantage back to six
• Faris' layup shaved it to four with a minute-and-a-half
• Tripp drills a freebie to ice the game, taking a seven-point lead with 48 second left
• Batey's layup brought it within five
• Leatherman hits two free throws to end the game
• Concordia defeats Lawrence Tech 71-64

By the Numbers

• Concordia outshot Lawrence Tech at the line 28-6, both teams hit exactly 50 percent of them
• The Cardinals shot 7-of-20 (35 percent) from three while the Blue Devils shot 3-of-12 (25 percent)
