Livonia, Mich. - The Lawrence Technological University women's basketball team traveled to play the Madonna Crusaders in WHAC play.

The Blue Devils came away with a 59-54 victory. Julia Huey led all players with 21 points. Kendall Fisher chipped in 14 points, 13 rebounds, and seven assists. Jade Faris also added 10 points and nine boards.

How it Happened: 

1st Quarter

• April Hudelson's putback off Paige Boden's miss starts the scoring
• Julia Huey hits two from downtown to give the Blue Devils a 6-2 lead
• A 6-0 Crusader run, channeled by Hudelson and Boden, gave Madonna an 8-6 lead
• Following Kylee Batey free throws, Sharon Woodard and Fisher trade layups to knot it at 10
• Sarah Tanderys broke the tie with one from deep, leading to an LTU timeout
• A third Huey triple with seconds to go deadlocked the game at 13 after the first

2nd Quarter

• Faris finds Addie Nagel for three to open the second quarter
• Fisher's two from the stripe made it seven-in-a-row for the Blue Devils to start the second
• Megan Aho finds Tanderys to end the Madonna drought
• Back-to-back Gracie Mitchell buckets gave the Blue Devils a 13-point cushion
• Another Tanderys trey cut the deficit to 10
• Following two from Fisher at the line, Aho drills a buzzer-beating three
• LTU 35, MU 26 at the break

3rd Quarter

• Hudelson drops in a layup to start the second half
• Josie Piergentili whittled the LTU lead to just five following her layup
• Faris and Aho trade layups
• Hudelson makes another layup to bring the game within three
• Batey and Aho each score a pair from the stripe, keeping the distance between teams at three
• Hudelson knocks down a pair from the charity stripe to make it a one-point game
• Fisher finds Huey for the last-second triple
• Blue Devils lead 42-38

4th Quarter

• Fisher sets up Huey for a triple, starting the fourth
• Once again, a Fisher dime gets Huey three more
• Hudelson brings Madonna within six, with her layup
• Faris' jumper, from Fisher, brought the score to 50-42
• A quick 5-0 run gave Madonna a chance at 50-47 with 3:30 remaining
• Huey's triple with 1:42 remaining looked to be the dagger to Madonna, who started playing the foul game afterward
• Aho makes a three to cut it 58-54 with four seconds left
• Fisher makes a last-second free throw
• Lawrence Tech defeats Madonna 59-54
