Box Score Southfield, MI - The Lawrence Technological University women's basketball team hosted Aquinas College in WHAC play.
The Saints came away with a 53-42 victory. Maggie Long led all players with 14 points. Marissa Brady led the Saints with 11 points.

1st Quarter
- Emily Cline opened up the scoring with a personal 4-0 run
- Julia Huey hits a three to take a 5-4 lead
- Brady finds Brighton Miller for three, starting an 11-0 Aquinas spurt over two minutes and change
- Huey finds Kendall Fisher who sinks one from downtown to halt the run
- Eliza Brown scores off a Brady missed free throw
- Aquinas leads after one, 19-8
2nd Quarter
- Long hits from deep to start the second
- Jordyn Wigg makes a layup to return the advantage to double figures
- Daz'Sha Day drains a triple from Wigg
- Destini Lewis made it a 15-point cushion with her layup, leading to an LTU timeout
- Lewis sinks two from the stripe to extend the lead to 19
- A Fisher three made it 16
- Wigg's two from the line returned the distance to 18
- Addie Nagel's jumper ended the half
- Saints led Blue Devils at the half, 34-18
3rd Quarter
- Jade Faris joined the scoring with a layup off a Fisher dime
- Kylee Batey finds Huey from deep
- Two Miller freebies gave the Saints a 12-point difference
- Faris' put-back layup followed by two from the line from Long brought the Blue Devils within single digits
- Nagel would find Long for three to cut it to five
- Another Long triple, this time from Faris, made it a two-point game
- Nagel would tack on a free throw to end the quarter
- AQ 37, LTU 36 through three
4th Quarter
- Nagel finds Batey from downtown to give the Blue Devils their first lead since the first quarter
- Cline would knot the game at 39
- Long knocks down her fourth from deep, reclaiming a slim three-point lead for LTU
- Wigg's layup-and-a-foul gave the Saints a two-point advantage
- Brady drops in a layup to make it a six-point game
- Mauriya Barnes split from the stripe to give Aquinas a seven-point lead with just over a minute to play
- Barnes would make two more freebies to extend the game to nine
- Lewis made a layup with eight seconds left, icing the game
- Lawrence Tech falls to Aquinas, 53-42
By the Numbers
- The Blue Devils outscored the Saints 18-3 in the third quarter and held the Saints without a field goal (0-of-10, 0-of-3 from three) to storm back from 16 down, whittling it to one.
The Blue Devils (13-15; 9-9) will take on the Cornerstone Golden Eagles on February 14, 2022, at Mol Arena for a 5:30 pm tip.
