SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - The Lawrence Technological Blue Devils Rocket League team started their season in WHAC play with a win against Lourdes, but then they were defeated by Cleary.
9/7/2022 3-0 Win against Lourdes
- Freshman Tyler Friske, aka Friske, competes in his first match as a member of the team.
- LTU posted shutouts in both games 1 and 2 before taking the final game 3-2.
9/8/2022 2-3 Loss to ClearyÂ
- After going down two games to none the team battled back in a 4 min overtime in game 3
- The team's comeback opportunity fell just short as the Blue Devils lost in game 5 4-3.
Also this past weekend, the LTU Esports Smash Bros team spent Friday and Saturday in Sandusky, Ohio to attend Riptide 2022, where over 700 players participated in a variety of team and solo events. The LTU team got to meet and play against some of the best Smash players in the world. A special highlight was team captain

The Blue Devils Rocket League team returns to action on tonight for a NACE battle at 7 pm and then on Thursday September 15 when they take on Concordia at 8:30 pm in WHAC play.
