Marion, IN - The Lawrence Technological University men's tennis team competed in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Midwest Regionals this week, hosted by Indiana Wesleyan.

• In the singles main draw, 10-seeded Eivind Tandberg defeated his opponent from Lourdes in straight sets, 6-2,6-2 on Wednesday before besting his challenger from Marian later in the day by an identical score. He would ultimately fall on Thursday in the Round of 16 to his 7-seeded opponent from Grace (Ind.) but tied the program record for the best finish in the singles main draw.
• Tandberg teamed up with Nils Hammarsten in the doubles main draw, besting their opponents from Ohio Christian 8-2 before the 3-seeds were bested by a duo from Grace (Ind.).
• In the singles B draw, Takuya King went undefeated in both of his singles matches to go 3-1 on the week, including doubles.
• After falling in his singles A draw match, 6-1, 6-2, Evan Morgan rebounded to win a pair of consolation draw matches, including besting his foe from Marian 6-3, 6-0.

The Blue Devils will close out their fall slate when they take on Ferris State, next Saturday, October 8^th at 1 pm at Detroit Mercy.
