Marion, IN - The Lawrence Technological University women's tennis team competed in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Midwest Regionals this week, hosted by Indiana Wesleyan.
- Carolin Minners/Jacqueline Alcocer battled hard against conference foe and 7th seeded UNOH before losing 8-9 (5) in the doubles A draw doubles.
- After dropping her first singles A draw match to the 10-seed from Indiana Tech, Minners responded by winning three consecutive consolation draw matches.
- She first won 6-3, 6-1 over her opponents from Huntington before besting her foes from Marian and Spring Arbor.
- Taylor Mattingly-Harnden earned her first win as a collegiate tennis player, defeating her opponent from Mount Vernon Nazarene in a consolation draw super tiebreaker 3-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-3).
The Blue Devils will close out their fall slate when they take on Ferris State, next Saturday, October 8
th at 1 pm at Detroit Mercy.
