Columbus, Ga. - The Lawrence Tech softball team headed out to Columbus, Georgia this weekend for the NFCA Leadoff Classic at the South Commons Complex on Friday. The Blue Devils fell 1-0 in extra innings against Milligan Buffaloes in final day in Georgia.  
   

How it happened:

 It was a scoreless game which ended to extra innings. The Buffaloes scored a run in the bottom of the 8th inning which ended the game. Freshmen Abby Gardner, sophomore Chloe Hug, senior Nicole Powrozek, and junior Morgan James all had a hit. Senior Clover Brandt pitched for the Blue Devils allowing 4 hits for the Buffaloes and 1 run scored. Brandt struck out 7 Buffaloes in 7.2 innings pitched. 

The Blue Devils will take two weeks off before spring training in Viera, Florida on March 3-8. They will play a double header against Roosevelt University on March 3 at 6:00 & 8:00pm.
