ADRIAN, Mich. -  The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced 2024 conference honors for Competitive Cheer following the conference championships hosted by Siena Heights on Sunday, March 10. 

One member from each WHAC team gets chosen for the Champions of Character Award. The recipient of this award best represents the five core character values: integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship and servant leadership. This year, sophomore Kiera Kane was chosen for the award. 

One coach out of the WHAC gets chosen for the Champions of Character Coach Award. The recipient of this award best represents the five core character values: integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship and servant leadership in a coach. This year, head coach Lauren Byrd was chosen for the award. Byrd has shown excellence in all five of these core characteristics, which led to her winning this award. 

The Blue Devils received 3 honoree for All-Academic Team. To qualify for the All-Academic Team, players must be sophomores, juniors or seniors and carry an overall GPA of at least 3.25. Sophomore Emma Arend, sophomore Kiera Kane, and sophomore Emily Kwierant received All-Academic Team honors.
