FORT WAYNE, IND. — The Lawrence Technological University men's tennis team faced the Warriors from Indiana Tech.
In doubles, Louam Boivin/Redwane Bouhajda dropped the 2-doubles match to K. Kargin/J.P. Lazo 7-5.
Evan Morgan/Juan Jose Escriba Pastor beat P. Labbe/S. Carbajal 7-5.
J. Rodriguez/R. Funez defeated Antoine Haurez/Takuya King 7-6 (9-7) to secure the point for the Warriors.
In singles:
2-seeded Morgan quickly dispatched Labbe 6-1, 6-1.
3-seeded Haurez handled Rodriguez 6-3, 6-0 for the second Blue Devil point.
In the top flight, Boivin knocked out Kargin in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4.
4-seeded King battled against Lazo, needing a tiebreaker for the second set, but King came away victorious 6-4, 7-6 (7-5)
Carbajal made Escriba Pastor work in the 5-singles match, forcing three sets. Escriba Pastor won 6-4, 1-6, 12-10, in one of the most competitive matches of the day.
Bouhajda won the battle in 6-singles against Funez 7-6, 2-6, 10-8.
The Blue Devils take down the Warriors 6-1.
LTU returns to action on Saturday when they take on Aquinas College at Franklin Athletic Club at 4pm.
