SOUTHFIELD, MICH. — The Lawrence Technological University women's tennis team hosted the University of Northwestern Ohio Racers to close out their spring regular season.
In doubles:
Taylor Mattingly-Harnden/
Rafaela Tedesco lost the 2-doubles match to M. Ashurbekova/A. Cetina 6-0.
A. Ripolles/A. Vaillant secured the doubles point for the Racers, defeating
Angela Anderanin/
Miriam McCormick 6-2.
Paola Herrera Rivera/
Jacqueline Alcocer held on to beat N. Mafuyeka/M. Barnett 7-6 (7-5)
In singles:
Ashurbekova dropped off McCormick in 3-singles, 6-1, 6-1
In the top flight, Ripolles tackled Herrera Rivera 6-3, 6-4.
2-seeded Lopicic defeated Tedesco 6-3, 6-4.
4-seeded Cetina made quick work of McCormick, 6-1, 6-3
Mattingly-Harnden faced Raton in 5-singles. Kovalchuk came away victorious, 6-0, 6-3.
Taylor Moore made Beck work in the 6-singles match, forcing three sets, and came away on top, 7-5, 4-6, 10-5
The Racers went on to win 6-1.
