SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - The Lawrence Technological University reserve men's soccer team heads into the 2024 season with a fresh outlook coming off last seasons 7-0-3 overall record. The Blue Devils finished the 2023 season with a 3-0-1 conference record winning the reserved conference championship.
The Blue Devils open up their season with a scrimmage at home, against Wayne State Club on Thursday, August 29th at an 8pm kick off. They will then head out to Olivet on Saturday, August 31st for a 3:30pm kick off. On Thursday, September 5th the Blue Devils will host the Crusaders of Madonna and open up conference play on Sunday, September 8th against Siena Heights at 9am. Lawrence Tech will take a week off until they head out to Triffin University for another conference matchup on Sunday, September 15th for a 2pm kick off. They will continue their conference play on the road against Madonna on Wednesday, September 18th at 3pm. The Blue Devils will then host Cleary at Blue Devils Stadium on Sunday, September 22nd for a 10am kick off. This time they will host the Comets of Olivet at 2pm on Thursday, September 26th. The Blue Devils will be on the road for three games in a row starting with Rochester Christian on Saturday, September 28th at 7pm, then head to Spring Arbor on Thursday, October 3rd at 8:15pm, and finishing off with their road trip with Lourdes on Sunday, October 6th at 1pm. The Blue Devils will close out their regular season hosting Calvin on Thursday, October 10th at 6:30pm and Northwood on Sunday, October 13th at 3:30pm.
Head coach Will Dyer says "LTU look to repeat as Reserve League champs, ton of experience and depth coming back, excited about the new pieces we've added to the squad."
Alex Wilson and Alvaro Gurrea will oversee the Reserve team, Alex comes to us from Walled Lake Western HS and Michigan Jaguars Club Soccer. Alvaro wore that blue and white from 2020-2022 and is finishing up his last semester as a Graduate Assistant.
