GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - In an intense WHAC Conference showdown, the Lawrence Tech Blue Devils fell short in both games of a doubleheader against the Cornerstone Golden Eagles on April 25, 2025, in Grand Rapids, Mich. The first game ended with a 14-2 victory for Cornerstone, followed by an 8-0 win in the second game, marking a challenging day for the Blue Devils.
From the outset, Lawrence Tech struggled to counter Cornerstone's offensive onslaught. In the initial contest, the Blue Devils managed to put up points thanks to
Kasey Snyder and
Lauren Fife, but it wasn't enough to surmount Cornerstone's robust 14 runs. Despite a hopeful start, Lawrence Tech's offense was kept at bay in the second game, with none of their players crossing home plate.
The Blue Devils' pitchers, led by starter
Delaney Monroe, faced tough moments as Cornerstone capitalized effectively throughout the matches.
With these results, the Blue Devils now finish the season with a record of 18-21. They will look to come into next season even stronger and will push to make it into the WHAC Tournament in 2026.Â
