Blue Devils Sweep to Victory: LTU Men’s Bowling Takes Claims Victory at Brunswick Midwest Collegiate

DETROIT, Mich. - The Lawrence Technological University men's bowling team put on a dominant display over the weekend at the Brunswick Midwest Collegiate Tournament in Detroit, Michigan, storming through the field to capture a first-place victory. From the opening frame, the Blue Devils established their presence on the lanes, compiling a total team pinfall of 4,949 across five team games for an impressive 989.8 team average. LTU set the tone early with a 1,014 opening game, followed by team scores of 916, 955, 1,068, and 996 to seal the championship. Leading the charge for the Blue Devils was Kai Strothers, who delivered a standout performance to earn a spot on the All-Tournament Team. Strothers anchored the lineup through all five games, firing scores of 245, 213, 237, 197, and 232 for a sensational 1,124 total pinfall and a 224.8 tournament average.

The victory was a complete team effort powered by depth and clutch performances across the lineup. K C Campbell provided major firepower, rolling a 790 total over four games for a 197.5 average, highlighted by a strong 242 in game four. Gavin Haack made an immediate impact off the bench late in the block, posting a 667 series over three games for a blazing 222.33 average, including an electric 249 in game four. Ayden Davis delivered key consistency across four games with a 711 total pinfall (177.75 average) and a high game of 202 in the opener. Cadyn Pranger stepped in over the final three games to contribute a steady 578 series (192.67 average) with games of 195, 194, and 189. Meanwhile, Michael Martins sparked the early lead with a 551 three-game total (183.67 average), and Tim Doan added 528 pins over three games (176.0 average). With Strothers on the All-Tournament Team and relentless scoring depth across the board, the Blue Devils proved they are a force to be reckoned with as they bring the trophy home to Southfield.
